Breaking up

You know I really like you. I think you're wonderful. The problem is not you, it's *me*... Please don't feel bad...This is hard...I know you'll find someone a hundred times better than me! Someone who will love you and appreciate you more than I ever did. You deserve someone better.
I had an amazing time with you. You made me feel special and wanted. But.... I just want more. We kind of drifted apart. Our personalities were too different. I realized we weren't meant to be together... No, there's no one else! How could you even think that. Well, maybe there is someone...but that had nothing to do with it! I hope we can still be friends...

Darden and I officially parted ways today.

Cute! Have a blast at Duke! It's so true. Schools are like relationships. Getting you MBA is like getting your marriage certificate. That's why selecting the right school (or wife) is so difficult. Glad you are following your heart! :-)

Ahh... so you are the one talking to my company's IT department! Over time they have been blocking everything - web-based mail, gaming sites, myspace.com, and 2 weeks ago we lost instant messenging. (Sadly, I and many coworkers held a funeral when it died its sudden death.)

Now, my sanity at work is solely relying on:
1) blogspot.com
2) friendster
3) victoria's secret (Yes, I can still purchase my lingerie! muhaha!)

Yes, I agree with you that rankings should not be the sole focus. (Especially since rankings in different publications seem to be all over the place based on different criteria.)

I have been looking at:
1) Fit (culture & people)
2) Marketing programs: Courses & experiential learning
3) Recruiters & employment records
4) Alumni connection & profiles
5) Location, weather, and all that jazz
6) Rankings (and how employers view this)
7) All schools offer a wide variety of clubs and social life.
8) Finances

Anything I'm missing?

Ah, so you've made your decision - congratulations! =o) In about 2 weeks I'll also have to break the heart of either Stern or MIT (tongue-in-cheek). All this after having my heart stopmed on by 4 other schools. ;o)

You and Darden weren't meant to be! Didn't like the "High blah blah blah" stuff eh?

You are such a heartbreaker!

the strip part refers to the following exerpt from the latest entry

"At some point ZhiLuv and I got up on the box where the half naked dancers were dancing, but we got kicked off for wearing too much clothing. I guess a sweater set does not qualify as an appropriate outfit for go-go dancing."

Thanks for the advice, MJ. My gut says I should... hmm... my head's confused my gut already. lol.

This may sound weird, but I'm so happy with my man because even after all this time seeing him still makes my heart pound, and I always feel giddy like I'm in high school again. So perhaps, I should be looking for the school that makes me feel like I'm in high school again? :-)

Not being nosy at all. :-) I just don't write much on the net to respect his privacy. Actually, one school is very close to my bf, so yes, more incentive to go there. However, he's been very being supportive of me to choose the best fit school. 2 years apart is minute to spending the rest of our lives together, right? :-D
